As we've done in years prior, we're looking for local organizations and businesses to donate door prizes / give-away items. Being able to boast a variety of exciting give-aways helps us boost attendance and expand our reach. Donate to the Virginia Prison Birth Project
Giving birth while incarcerated is a traumatic and lonely experience. After labor, incarcerated parents are separated from their babies and typically don't receive the care they need to recover and bond with their new little one.Â
The Virginia Prison Birth Project (VPBP) is a non-profit organization providing crucial support to pregnant and postpartum individuals incarcerated in Virginia. Through donations, VPBP is able to provide trained doula care, lactation support programming, and weekly group sessions on parenting education to those behind bars.
